VOODOO QB

As my personal brand, it represents my services in branding, illustration, and UI/UX design. VQB is futuristic, edgy, energetic, and friendly. Playful and yet responsible and detail-oriented.

Why did I come up with VOODOO QB as the name of my brand?

The word Voodoo comes from the heart of magic (and I don’t mean the religious aspect of Vodun/Voodoo). My job is to mix the design structures with creativity, and problem-solving with visual aesthetics. I consider it pure magic to give visual expression to a client’s conceptual requirements.

Additionally, QB in chess is the abbreviation for Queen’s Bishop. The etymology of "bishop" comes from Old English bisceop "bishop, high priest," from Late Latin episcopus, derived from Greek episkopos "watcher, overseer." As a designer I watch over and direct in order to ensure a satisfactory outcome or performance.

QB also sounds like a Cube. Cube resembles the Pixel in 3 dimensions. Pixel is a minute area of illumination on a display screen, one of many from which an image is composed. Origin: 1960s: abbreviation of picture element (compare with pix). Cube also is like a box. A box, containing a magic inside, that I served at a client’s table.
