●Navigating DIY Dilemmas
Challenge: According to our research, the abandonment rate for DIY projects significantly exceeds the success rate. This is primarily attributed to individuals feeling overwhelmed, which stems from the absence of comprehensive guides. Furthermore, accurately estimating costs, time, and difficulty levels poses a significant challenge.

●Key Features
Solution: Recognizing the need for improvement in existing DIY apps, we focused on implementing the items below as the key features of our app:
● Step-by-step guides: Provide guidance.
● Progress tracker: Helps manage project difficulty and track progress.
● Budget tracker: Addresses cost concerns.
● Inclusivity: Offers projects for all skill levels.

●The Journey of Discovery
Our journey began with a business model, guiding how we create value, deliver, and operate. This model served as a framework for comprehending and effectively communicating how the company generates revenue, delivers products or services, and maintains its operations.

Mining Gold in Data
For the next step, we equipped our team with C&C Analysis and strategic insights that directed us to uncover strengths, weaknesses, and the path to excellence within a competitive landscape.
Findings
● Store Finder Option, Expert Help, and Budget Calculator can be beneficial options,
● Most DIYers enjoy sharing their projects,
● Personalized Recommendations are popular among DIYers.

We chose to explore home improvement projects to uncover the reasons why DIYers struggle to complete them or face difficulties. Here are the key findings from our research, presented in a table.
Only 10% of homeowners feel completely on top of home maintenance tasks, suggesting that the sheer volume of work can be overwhelming.

Following our preliminary research, we engaged DIY users through online surveys and interviews to grasp deeper insights about our target audience.
Survey and Interview Objectives:
● How do people currently plan and keep track of DIY projects and their progress?
● What online tools are there for users, already?
● What are their preferences, needs, and pain points?

The research findings highlight key reasons why DIYers may not complete tasks, including:

●Design
Style Guide
Before beginning wireframing for our prototype, I as the head designer developed the brand’s image by choosing colors, typefaces, and a logo that aligned with the values we defined for Project +.
I opted for eccentric colors, with a particular emphasis on greens, to symbolize our innovative and growth-oriented ideas. As for the logo, I drew inspiration from the hex nut shape, which serves as a symbolic representation of construction and building.
